Chapter 1.04: Smartest Girl Ever

Isobel giggled as she played with Toby, this was her favorite thing to do besides playing with Sparkle or her tablet. "Faster! Faster!" Isobel said, her giggles were becoming hysterical as they played.

"Aww Issy, I don't know if I can go any faster," Toby told her as he laughed. She frowned and covered his eyes. "Ahhh! I can't see, my eyes! My eyes!" he yelled playfully as she held her hands over his eyes. The two of them played for a more minutes before he set her down gently on the ground, and Isobel stood there staring at him as he gazed back at her.

"Numbers?" Isobel asked him. She felt like she wanted to make mama happy, and the only she knew how to do that was by making sure she was very smart. "Numbers, please," she corrected herself as he raised his eyebrows at her question.

"There you go," Toby said. The two of them spent most of the learning numbers and playing games on her tablet. Mama was going to be so proud of her, she was going to be the smart girl in the world and do all kinds of cool things.

    Toby and Isobel have a sweet relationship. With his help, she'll get the Top Notch Toddler trait for sure!

Authors Note: This chapter starts Serene into the story, or more accurately her point of view. Now that Toby is dead, she officially gets her debut! Also, their wonderful new house they live in is thanks to Glenkarri from the D.N.A team! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mama decided it was best if they move, because papa and the old house was too sad. The old house was filled with the haunting old tunes of the piano, the laughter from when he told us silly jokes and the sweet sound of his voice when he read her bedtime stories. This house, it meant nothing to Serene. It wasn't where her papa was, and it wasn't where she wanted to be.    This house made her feel so lonely, so alone. Valentine "Umm, I don't know. I wasn't there when my papa died. Why are you asking all these questions?" Serene asked me. I couldn't really tell a ten year old that I wasn't sure why her father died.
